Over the Christmas period the city of Innsbruck is transformed with lights, markets and a variety of events. Despite the snow and the cold, the streets are packed with people, gathering under heaters, drinking gluehwein. Activities for children are also a major part of the celebrations with activities and games throughout the ‘old town’.
This is a great example of using space in the town centre to get residents and visitors to engage with the city and celebrate the old town.
